Heirloom Tomato Festival
Join us Sunday, September 3rd 10a-1:30p at the Sebastopol Farmers Market for the annual Heirloom Tomato Festival. Taste a rainbow of local heirloom tomatoes available at the market. Cherokees, Green Zebras, Pineapple, Early Girl, Germans, Indigo, Japanese Truffle, Krimm and more! Try a favorite or find a new one.. and experience why it’s so important to support the farmers who keep these heirloom varietals alive.
At the market we are excited to have Chef Michele Anna Jordan, author of several beautiful cookbooks including The Good Cook’s Book of Tomatoes. She will be sharing her secrets for making her extraordinary market inspired gazpacho.
There will be music with Down the Road Ramblers on stage and activities for the kids including a petting zoo.
Love heirlooms and want more? Make sure to also visit the Heirloom Expo at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds the 5th-7th where you will find literally, a mountain of heirlooms and more varietals of fruits and vegetables than you could ever imagine with local farmers sharing their prize heirlooms and knowledge.
