SFM Newsletter July 10th

Ok, by now most of you have noticed that I haven’t been at the market for some time.  Well it’s true.. can’t believe it took you this long to notice..  Anyway..I miss you all so much that I just had to keep writing.  Thank you for continuing to support the Sebastopol Farmers Market and some of the most amazing farmers on the planet!  I bet you can’t wait to see what’s new!


This week’s music took a slight detour.. local favorite blues/rock guitarist  EMK will be stepping in for a last minute cancellation.    We are so lucky to have him!!  Next week Avalanche will be back on stage!!


This Sunday, Olivino Organic Olive Oil and Terra Savia Wines will be back at the market!  Also returning is Mi Fiesta and their famous tamales, tortillas and salsas!  Yum!!


Bring your favorite garden and kitchen tools.. Edgeworks will be streetside.. Now at the market each and every Sunday for all of your sharpening needs.


Dear CalFresh Customers.  It’s great to have you back.  Now matching your CalFresh dollars with up to $10 Market Match for fruits and veggies.  Thank you for being a customer and for your continued support of our local farmers!!


Don’t you just love summer!!  You will not want to miss a single market.  We’ve got.. sweet corn, early girl tomatoes, summer squashes, green beans, spring garlic, spinach,  arugula, lettuces, microgreens, tot soi, bok choy, mustard greens, kales, collards, swiss chard, napa and other cabbages, salad radishes, cucumbers, turnips, carrots, beets,  leeks, potatoes, mushrooms, broccolis, cauliflowers, red onions,  herbs and so much more…


Did someone say FLOWERS?


Calling all of you stone fruit lovers .. peach and nectarine season is here!!  Plums and pluots and plenty of local organic strawberries, too!  But wait.. yes, melons are slowly coming in with local melons arriving late July!  And Yes!  It’s Date Week!


Enjoy farmer inspired products like organic nut butters, almonds and walnuts.  You will also find meats, eggs, cheeses, olive oil, wines, vinegar, dried fruits, olives, honey, herbal teas, jams, hot sauces and pesto, breads, pastries and other homemade treats are just some of what you will find at the market.


We are getting closer to our goal but we still need your support to keep our market strong and our community programs thriving.  Please consider donating.  Special thanks for the donations that keep coming in through the market’s GoFundMe campaign.
