SFM Newsletter June 19th

To all of you dads out there.. a very excellent and happy fathers’ day!  And to all of you who have dads and are looking for an extra special super fun free event to celebrate.. well have we got an amazing day planned for you with music and plenty of food and craft vendors for that special treat sure to make dad smile.  Plus.. there’s plenty of yummy things to grill for that special afternoon BBQ!!

 

On stage this week,  Carlo Fuentes, keyboardist from Black Sheep will be playing for the market as a special Fathers’ Day treat.  Next up.. Sonoma Bluegrass on the 26th!!

 

Bring your favorite garden and kitchen tools.. Edgeworks will be streetside.. Now at the market each and every Sunday for all of your sharpening needs.

Nothing says ‘I love you, Dad‘ like plants for his garden!!  Plenty of natives, succulents and summer veggies and herbs.  Got questions?  Master Gardeners are at the market every Sunday!

 

Yep!! It’s grilling season!!  Try something new.. this week’s veggies include..  squashes, spring garlic, spinach,  arugula, lettuces, microgreens, tot soi, bok choy, mustard greens, kales, collards, swiss chard, napa and other cabbages, salad radishes, cucumber, turnips, carrots, beets,  leeks, potatoes, mushrooms, broccolis, cauliflowers, red onions, winter squashes,  herbs and so much more…

 

PS.. Even Dads like flowers!!  Don’t forget the flowers!! 

 

It’s stone fruit season!! Twin Peaks will be back with delicious organic fruit straight from the farm.. peaches, apricots and nectarines too!!  Plenty of local organic strawberries, too!  And so much more!!

 

Enjoy farmer inspired products like organic nut butters, almonds and walnuts.  You will also find meats, eggs, cheeses, olive oil, wines, vinegar, dried fruits, olives, honey, herbal teas, jams, hot sauces and pesto, breads, pastries and other homemade treats are just some of what you will find at the market.
