More Rain!! Happy Earth Day Everyone!!  Hard to believe that our Earth Month Celebration at the market is coming to an end.  We challenge you to make a lasting commitment to this planet that we live on.  As they say.. there is no planet B.  I know it’s daunting but, if we all do everything we can to work towards a zero footprint community and life style, it might just become the norm instead of an exception.  We need everyone on board for this one!  Shopping farmers markets and supporting local farmers and businesses is huge!! Make farmers markets a part of your weekly routine.    PS.. PLANT A GARDEN!! We’ve got edible veggie plants and herbs!!!

 

Celebrate with us as the kids take the stage this week.. please welcome back SCHOOL of ROCK!! You won’t want to miss it!!

 

Back again this week Cliff from Ma & Pa’s Garden and his famous tomato plants, Stony Point with organic strawberries, and Red H!!  Don’t forget the Flowers!!

 

Look for more farmers and other vendors returning to the market in the coming weeks including Dominique’s pastries this Sunday! Lata will be back May 1st!!

 

Bring your favorite kitchen and gardening tools this Sunday.  Edgeworks will be back streetside.. Now at the market each and every Sunday for all of your sharpening needs.

 

To all of our CalFresh Customers.  We  are back to our usual $10 match.  $10 gets you $20.  Look for special incentives coming up in May for Market Match Month!!

You can be a part of the sustainable food movement!  Plant an edible garden!! There are lots of veggie, herb, and yes! edible flower starts at the market!!

 

Get to know the farmers who bring you the most amazing.. asparagus, spring garlic, spinach,  arugula, lettuces, microgreens, tot soi, bok choy, mustard greens, kales, collards, swiss chard, napa and other cabbages, salad radishes, turnips, carrots, beets,  leeks, potatoes, mushrooms, brussel sprouts, broccolis, cauliflowers, red onions, winter squashes,  herbs and so much more…

 

There’s still time get your citrus fix.. tangerines, mandarins, grapefruits,  navel and cara cara oranges, blood oranges, lemons and limes.  It’s also the beginning of the berry season.. with more strawberries from Laguna Farm and Stony Point too.

 

Enjoy farmer inspired products like organic nut butters, almonds and walnuts.  You will also find meats, eggs, cheeses, olive oil, wines, vinegar, dried fruits, olives, honey, herbal teas, jams, hot sauces and pesto, breads, pastries and other homemade treats are just some of what you will find at the market.
