Happy Spring Everyone!! Looks like we might indeed get some rain after all!! And cheers to April showers bringing May Flowers! YES Please!!
We’re gearing up for April Earth Month! Join us as we look at ways to make our market more sustainable. Please remember to bring your own reusable bags whenever you can. Mother Earth and all who live here are depending on us! Sometimes it’s the small thing that make a difference!
On stage this week, Redwood Highway Ramblers are back and are sure to get your toe tapping and to bring a swing in your step!! Make sure to bring the family or invite a friend!
Back this week Ramini Buffalo Cheese! Look for more farmers and other vendors returning to the market in the coming weeks.. there will be some new faces too!!
Make sure to bring your favorite kitchen and gardening tools this Sunday. Edgeworks will be back streetside.. Now at the market each and every Sunday for all of your sharpening needs.
To all of our CalFresh Customers! This is the last Sunday we will be able to offer a match of up to $15 to spend on local fruits and vegetables!! $15 will get you $30. Starting in April we will be back to a $10 match. Thank you for your dedication and support of local farmers and your local farmers market!!
We are hoping that the spring rains will inspire you to start planting that garden you have been putting off. There are a multitude of veggie, herb and edible flower starts to choose from and plenty of good gardening advice too!
Well look at that.. have you ever seen such an incredible sight .. a multitude of veggies awaits you.. expect to find spinach and fava greens, lettuces, microgreens, spinach, tot soi, bok choy, mustard greens, kales, collards, swiss chard, napa and other cabbages, salad radishes, turnips, carrots, beets, leeks, potatoes, mushrooms, brussel sprouts, broccolis, cauliflowers, red onions, winter squashes, herbs and so much more…
Make sure to load up on citrus .. you will find tangerines, mandarins, grapefruits, navel and cara cara oranges, blood oranges, lemons and limes. It’s the beginning of the berry season.. with strawberries from Laguna Farm. Stony Point will be back in April.
Look at all of the lovely Flowers? Bring a bouquet of sunshine home or to a friend!!
Enjoy farmer inspired products like organic nut butters, almonds and walnuts. You will also find meats, cheeses, olive oil, wines, vinegar, dried fruits, olives, honey, herbal teas, jams, hot sauces and pesto, breads, pastries and other homemade treats are just some of what you will find at the market. A New Crop of organic almonds and walnuts are here!!
