SFM Newsletter February 20th

Valelntines Day might be over but, it’s really never been about just one day..  We share our gratitude and appreciation for this community every day!  We are truly excited to have you all back for another Sunday at the Sebastopol Farmers Market!!

 

This Sunday, we are thrilled to host School of Rock coming to the market with a talented kids band!!  They have been practicing hard for this .. So.. please give them a warm welcome..  and get ready to get your groove on and boogie on through the market.

 

Look for other special events coming soon.. like, the SF Scottish Fiddlers on March 6th and All Things Herbal Fair at the market June 5th!!

 

Make sure to bring your favorite kitchen and gardening tools this Sunday.  Edgeworks will be back streetside.. Now at the market every Sunday for all of your sharpening needs.

 

Also back this week..Bayou on the Bay with Cajun cuisine,  Italian Corner,  Aloha Organix..

And Oyster Creek will be back with dried foraged mushrooms!!

 

Dear CalFresh Customers!  We continue to offer a match of up to $15 to spend on local fruits and vegetables!! $15 will get you $30. Thank you for your dedication and support of local farmers!!

 

Hey all of you plant lovers..  There are plenty of  veggie, edible flower and herb starts as well as lots of advice available to tackle your winter gardening project.

 

Come on .. get healthy!!  Feed your soul with a rainbow of amazing nutrient dense locally grown veggies.. including.. spinach and fava greens,  lettuces, microgreens, spinach, tot soi, bok choy, mustard greens, kales, collards, swiss chard, napa and other cabbages, salad radishes, turnips, carrots, beets,  leeks, potatoes, mushrooms, brussel sprouts, broccolis, cauliflowers, red onions, winter squashes,  herbs and so much more…

 

Citrus Season continues with a beautiful array of tangerines, mandarins, grapefruits, oro blanco, navel and cara cara oranges, blood oranges, lemons and limes.  And YES!  There will be Dates!

 

Enjoy farmer inspired products like organic nut butters, almonds and walnuts.  You will also find meats, cheeses, olive oil, wines, vinegar, dried fruits, olives, honey, herbal teas, jams, hot sauces and pesto, breads, pastries and other homemade treats are just some of what you will find at the market.  A New Crop of organic almonds and walnuts are here!!
