Dear Friends of Farmers Markets.. We hope you can join us this Sunday for another festive old fashioned holiday farmers market! There will be amazing food, music and fun.. Got the rainy day holiday blues? Not to worry.. we are here to get you back on your feet and put a smile on your face. As you stroll through the plaza, local favorite guitarist, Doug Cross will be playing music Americana style while you shop or stop for brunch or that tasty treat. And YES!! Rain or shine..(Looks like Shine!!) There will be a market!! Farmers will be harvesting just for you! Please come out to celebrate the rains and our local farmers!! #BuyLocalBuyOften!
For all of you who might be wondering.. YES! there will be a very special farmers market the day after Christmas!! Please join us for more holiday cheer on December 26th!!
If you missed last week, Bayou by the Bay will be joining the market as our new Cajun food vendor! Make sure to check them out! Also, the Mendocino Grain Project will be back with fresh milled flour! And Cirque du Ferments with kombucha and other ferments!
Feeling a little whimpy? Make sure to check out the veggie section of the market! Boost your immune system with glorious locally grown veggies.. everything you need for that crockpot stew!
Looking to boost the local economy? Shop the market for that one of a kind special unique gift for that amazing someone. Plenty of ideas for holiday baskets and care packages!!
Greetings to all of our CalFresh Customers! We continue to offer a match of up to $15 to spend on local fruits and vegetables!! $15 will get you $30. Yes! Plus, if you haven’t received a special meat, egg and dairy voucher booklet yet, we will have those available at the info booth. One per CalFresh customer please. Yes! There are still veggie and herb starts and lots of advice available for your winter gardening. Now there’s a gift idea.. help a friend start a garden for a gift that keeps on giving. :)
There are so many incredible veggies especially grown for your favorite holiday dishes .. lettuces, microgreens, spinach, tot soi, bok choy, mustard greens, kales, collards, swiss chard, napa and other cabbages, salad radishes, turnips, carrots, beets, leeks, potatoes, mushrooms, broccolis, cauliflowers, red onions, garlic, winter squashes, herbs and so much more…
Holiday Citrus is here with lots of tangerines, oro blanco, oranges, lemons and the most amazing persimmons. There’s still some time to enjoy grapes and apples! Twin Peaks will be with us for the holidays with organic citrus!
Look for farmer inspired products like organic nut butters, almonds and walnuts. You will also find meats, cheeses, olive oil, wines, vinegar, dried fruits, olives, honey, herbal teas, jams, hot sauces and pesto, breads, pastries and other homemade treats are just some of what you will find at the market. A New Crop of organic almonds and walnuts are here!!
