Hello and welcome to all of you farmers market enthusiasts.. I hope this weekend found you basking in the moonlight dreaming about all the amazing fruits and vegetables you might find this Sunday at the Sebastopol Farmers Market where inspiration for the most amazing salads on the planet is at your fingertips. How can you resist farmer market eye candy and guess what.. it’s good for you!! :) Who knew healthy could be so delicious and so easy.
On stage this week, Joy Ride will be playing a jazzy bluesy Sunday beat.
It’s never too late to plant a garden.. there are still lots of veggie, herbs and native plant starts for your latest garden project. Succulents too!!
This Sunday’s locally produced veggie offerings include sweet corn, sweet and hot peppers, field cucumbers and heirloom tomatoes not to mention.. lettuces, microgreens, spinach, tot soi, bok choy, mustard greens, kales, collards, swiss chard, napa and other cabbages, salad radishes, turnips, carrots, beets, leeks, potatoes, mushrooms, broccolis, cauliflowers, green beans, red onions, green garlic, summer squashes, herbs and so much more…
Stone fruit season is in full swing!! with peaches, nectarines, sweet cherries , plums, pluots and for you berry lovers.. organic strawberries!! .. FIGS.. blackberries, mulberries, and melons too!! Red flame grapes and some early apples too! And Dates too!! And, yes! The Gravensteins are here!!
Don’t forget the Flowers!! Or a special treat from our local food and craft vendors.
Look for farmer inspired products like organic nut butters, almonds and walnuts. You will also find meats, cheeses, olive oil, wines, vinegar, dried fruits, olives, honey, herbal teas, jams, hot sauces and pesto, breads, pastries and other homemade treats are just some of what you will find at the market.
