Ok, by now most of you have noticed that I haven’t been at the market…

SFM Newsletter September 13th
Dear Friends of Sebastopol Farmers Market. We are overwhelmed with sadness for all the farmers who have lost so much this fire season that started earlier than expected and continues to ravage small farms around the state and in Oregon and Washington. Although farmers participating in this market were not directly affected by the latest fires, the environmental threats are constant with new and greater challenges every year. Thank you for your continued support of the market, our local farmers and our local food system. Fingers crossed we’ll have a break and better air quality this Sunday.
If you haven’t had the chance to try out the market online curbside service, we invite you to explore the online store on the market website at www.sebastopolfarmmarket.org
Welcome to the bounty of harvest season showcasing an abundance of beautiful, amazing nutritious veggies including lettuces, microgreens, arugula, spinach, tot soi, bok choy, mustard greens, kales, swiss chard, collards, radishes, cucumbers, heirloom tomatoes, carrots, beets, cauliflowers, broccoli, cabbages, summer and winter squashes, potatoes, mushrooms, onions, shallots, herbs and so much more!
And just like that.. its APPLE Season!! Both Dean Farms and Bella Ridge will be at the market this week with antique apple varietals.
But don’t worry.. peaches, nectarines, plums, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, figs, apples, pears and melons are still available.
It’s not too late to plant a garden.. look for cool weather vegetables and herbs to plant for late fall and winter harvest.
Also available at the market ..farmer inspired products including nuts and nut butters, meats, cheeses, organic olive oil and wine, herbal teas, hot sauces, breads, pastries and pastas, olives, preserves, herbal teas and other homemade treats.
Now more than ever, we could use your help as we continue to struggle to keep our market strong and our community programs going. Please consider donating. Special thanks for the donations that keep coming in through the market’s gofundme campaign. https://gf.me/u/x3svaq
