Hello Sebastopol Farmers Market Friends. Happy Memorial Day weekend. Thank you for making the Sebastopol Farmers Market a part of your busy holiday weekend as we honor those who have fought for this country in the hopes for a better future for all. It is our hope that through farmers markets, communities will continue to come together in support of farmers, small businesses and our local economy working for a more equitable and socially just future. The farmers market is not just a place to shop, it is an opportunity to participate in and celebrate community.
There have been and continue to be challenges and changes at the market as we learn to adapt to evolving CDC requirements. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we continue to put the safety of customers and vendors as a top priority. Thank you for gracefully working with us to protect our most vulnerable by wearing a face covering and practicing physical distancing.
We have new farmers joining us every week. Because of physical distancing, our market has extended into the bank parking lot. Can’t find your favorite vendor? Please check the added parking lot and plaza area.
New this week, the Patch, Oyster Creek mushrooms, Mi Fiesta and Santa Rosa Farms. We are only offering crafts curbside until we get the ok from the CDC to allow more than essentials.
At the market this week you will find an abundance of amazing immune boosting, freshly harvested, nutrient dense, sustainable vegetables including.. lettuces, microgreens, arugula, spinach, mustard greens, kales, collards, chards, cauliflowers, broccolis, cabbages, carrots, beets, radishes, snap peas, summer squashes, hot house tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers, onions, potatoes, fava beans and greens, asparagus, mushrooms, herbs and much, much more.
Cherries and strawberries are in season!! Apricots are slowly coming in as citrus season phases out. Look for Sonoma Swamp Blues with organic blueberries and Twin Peaks with organic peaches coming in the next week or two.
It’s still a great time to plant a garden. You will find plenty of vegetable and herb starts at the market.
Make sure to look for farmer inspired products including nuts and nut butters, meats, cheeses, olive oil, herbal teas, hot sauces, breads, pastries and pastas, olives, preserves and other homemade treats.
We are excited to announce that we now offer online ordering for curbside pickup!! Check out the curbside button on the Sebastopol Farmers Market homepage at www.sebastopolfarmmarket.org.
You can a start your orders at any time during the week. Farmers will share their produce availability by midnight on Thursdays. Ordering ends at 3p Saturday. Pickup is at the farmers market on Sunday is from noon until 1:30p. There will be a parking available at the market eastside entrance by the info booth.
Thank you all for your continued support. We love you Sebastopol!
