Ok, by now most of you have noticed that I haven’t been at the market…
Hello Sebastopol.. Happy Mother’s Day!! Wishing all of you moms out there an amazing magical day. I hope you all get spoiled rotten in a healthy farmers market way! :) Seriously, what better gift is there than a basket full of beautiful fruits and vegetables and why not throw in some olive oil, pasta, pesto, nuts, cheeses, tea, honey, bread, and other farmer inspired treats. Don’t forget the FLOWERS!!
Although, craft vendors are not yet allowed to come back to the market, you can find their contact information on the market website vendor page.
Beginning this week, we are pleased to announce the launch of our online market store for curbside delivery. Check out the market website home page and click on the curbside button. We are starting with a soft launch so, if you don’t see what you need.. we are adding new vendors, produce and products weekly. Ordering starts on Mondays and ends at 3p on Saturdays.
This week’s most delicious and nutritious offerings include.. lettuces, microgreens, arugula, spinach, snap peas, radishes, green onion, carrots, hot house cucumbers, summer squash and tomatoes, kales, collards, swiss chard, mustard greens, cauliflowers, broccolis, asparagus, mushrooms, potatoes, red onions, leeks, garlic, herbs and more.
It’s not too late to start a garden..find veggie and herb starts throughout the market.
For all you cherry lovers, it is the beginning of cherry season!! Get your local organic strawberries and yes.. not to fear.. citrus is still here. Look for apricots and blueberries coming later this month.
As seasonal farmers and vendors return to the market, we will be expanding into the West America Bank parking lot to allow for social distancing. Unfortunately that will mean that some of the close in parking will not be available for a while. We apologize for the inconvenience but, hope that you will understand that for us, your safety comes first. Make sure to explore the entire market as, things will be changing as we try to accommodate everyone.
A Big Thank You to all of you for helping keep the Sebastopol Farmers Market open and safe by complying with CDC and Sonoma County Public Health requirements and by remembering your mandatory face covering. Staying healthy together!!
We look forward to seeing you this Sunday.
Carla
