Ok, by now most of you have noticed that I haven’t been at the market…

SFM March 1st Newsletter
Dearest Sebastopol Farmers’ Market Community. Hello and welcome. It’s the California Small Farm Conference this weekend. It’s been an honor to be a part of the planning and coordinating team. If you’ve never been, put it on your list for next year. It’s a 3-day event with farm field days and workshops for farmers and for food advocates. More than ever, it’s time to rally in support of local farmers and our local food system for a more resilient community! Thank you for your continued support.
On stage this week, please welcome Fred McCarty playing rock/Americana.
This week the market will present an array of beautiful vibrant nutrient dense vegetables including lettuces, microgreens, arugula, spinach, pea shoots, bok choy, Fava greens,
napa, green and red cabbages, kales, chard, mustard greens, cauliflowers, broccolis, carrots, beets, potatoes, burdock, rutabagas, mushrooms, sweet walla walla onions, shallots, green onions, garlic, herbs and so much more!! With the warmer weather, check out the salad options and consider putting orange slices and walnuts in the mix and top with olive oil, Meyers lemon and salt. YUM!
All things citrus are at the market with cara cara, washington and blood oranges, grapefruit, oro blanco, tangerines, lemons and limes.
Make sure you pick up veggie starts for your spring garden. And, Nature Spirits has living buckwheat sprouts that magically keep coming back when you cut them!! Delicious!
Make sure to look for farmer inspired products including nuts and nut butters, meats, cheeses, olive oil, herbal teas, hot sauces, breads, pastries and pastas, olives, preserves and other homemade treats.
EDGEWORKS will be at the market street-side this Sunday for all of your kitchen and garden tool sharpening needs.
Mark your calendars..
