Ok, by now most of you have noticed that I haven’t been at the market…

Greetings Sebastopolians! Welcome one and all to the farmer centric interactive community event you’ve waited all week for. It’s going to be another incredibly beautiful sunshiny day at the Sebastopol Farmers’ Market. Start your Valentine’s week off right.. be good to yourself with healthy fruits and vegetables, farmer inspired foods and yes! Find that very special something for that incredibly important someone when you shop the market’s craft vendors.
New to the Sebastopol Farmers’ Market stage, please welcome, Kate Magdalena.
Enjoy an array of beautiful farm fresh local sustainable hearty winter vegetables and a multitude of greens for salads and stirfrys from lettuces, arugula, spinach, microgreens, kales, collard, chard, mustard green, carrots, radishes, turnips, beets, rutabagas, potatoes, shallots, onions, celery, colorful broccolis and cauliflowers, herbs and more! Won’t to make your sweetie that special Valentines dinner? Do it with edible flowers!! Look for bouquets of flowering broccolis and mustard greens and for the salad, mix in some colorful flower petals from Earthworker to brighten up any meal, breakfast, lunch or dinner!! YUM!
Citrus is in season with plenty of tangerines, oranges, grapefruits, lemons and limes. Try slicing a cara cara orange and putting the bite size triangle segments into your salad or stirfry for a splash of color and an amazing burst of flavor. Don’t forget the walnuts!!
Make sure to look for farmer inspired products including nuts and nut butters, meats, cheeses, olive oil, herbal teas, hot sauces, breads, pastries and pastas. Have you tried Nan’s olives, preserves and other homemade treats? Check out Rainbow’s End.
