SFM Newsletter January 19th
Good people of Sebastopol. We welcome you to another amazing Farmers’ Market Sunday where the offerings are sure to delight and bring cheer as we enter a short dry spell in the forecast and a chance to shake it off and warm up. Hello Sunshine!! Expect a rainbow of colorful locally grown farm fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the market.
On stage this Sunday, please welcome Kayzak playing Peruvian folk music.
Available throughout the market, you will find a variety of amazing fresh nutrient dense vegetables to boost your immune system for a healthier winter season. Look for lettuces, micro greens, arugula, spinach, braising greens like mustard, kales, collards and chard. Tot soi and bok choy, napa and savoy cabbages for your stirfries, green and red cabbages, potatoes, rutabagas, carrots, beets, onions, garlic, mushrooms, cauliflowers and broccolis, purple, orange and green, turnips, radishes, winter squashes, herbs and more!! Easy winter cup of soup idea.. put a tablespoon of miso in a cup, ad boiling water, stir in lemon juice and chile powder, add chopped veggies and cilantro and enjoy! YUM!
Brighten up your day with a splash of citrus. It’s what’s in season!! Enjoy oranges, grapefruit, lemons, limes, tangerines, and more.
Make sure to look for farmer inspired products including nuts and nut butters, meats, cheeses, olive oil, herbal teas, hot sauces, breads, pastries and pastas.
Olivino Olive oil and Terra Salvia wines are back.
And, YES, there will be SEAFOOD!! Princess Seafood will be at the market with sustainably caught seafood offerings.
