Ok, for all you farmers’ market fans. This one’s for you!! Have the seemingly endless rainy days got you down? Well, relief is on it’s way. Join us this Sunday at the Sebastopol Farmers’ Market for a beautiful sun shiny inside and out kind of day. Doesn’t the thought of all those beautiful, freshly harvested, fruits and vegetables make your heart sing and put a smile on your face? Come join us as we celebrate another amazing day at the market and don’t forget to shop the craft section for extra special holiday gift ideas. There’s something for everyone!!
On stage this week, local favorite, guitarist, singer/song writer, Dave Hamilton, is sure to chase those rainy day blues away. Be inspired to create a chalk art masterpiece or write a poem, Caverly, the guardian of the chalk, will provide artistic support. Unleash your creative!!
At the market this week you will see plenty of delicious nutritious, fresh picked produce with the most amazing vibrant greens for juicing, soups and salads including lettuces, spinach arugula, micro greens, tat soi, bok choi, savoy and napa cabbages, kales, chards, mustard greens but, wait.. there’s more.. carrots, potatoes, beets, rutabagas, turnips, cauliflowers, broccoli, mushrooms, winter squashes, yams, herbs and so much more!!
Be prepared to be inspired. Get healthy, stay healthy! It’s our gift to you this holiday season.
It’s citrus season with mandarin tangerines, grapefruit, oro blanco, lemons and limes. Persimmons and pomegranates bring holiday cheer. Make sure you grab some antique apples, pears and jujubes before they’re gone.
Don’t forget the farmer inspired prepared foods and products at the market including nut and nut butter, eggs, meats, cheeses, olive oil, hot sauces, apple cider vinegar, jams, teas, breads and pastries.
December is an especially cozy time at the market. We hope you will join us.
Support your local farmer. Eat real food! And don’t forget we are striving to be a Zero Waste market. Please help our amazing volunteers by placing your discarded items in the correct bin. Not sure what goes where? Check out the amazing signage above the bins in the food court! :)
