SFM Newsletter November 10th

Hello one and all, we are busy getting ready to make your holidays incredibly special with amazing edibles from our farmers and food vendors and beautiful, unique handcrafted gift ideas from craft vendors at the market.  There is so much to be grateful for in this community of abundance.  We are forever thankful for your undying support.

 

On stage this week, local favorite guitarist, EMK will be playing for the market for a special pre-holiday treat.  Also look for the Acorn Project joining us monthly.

 

At the market this week, there is truly a vision to behold with an array of amazing vegetables including.. lettuces, microgreens, arugula, spinach, kale, chard, bok choi, savoy, napa and red and green cabbages, potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, beets, rutabagas, turnips, onions, shallots, fennel, mushrooms, peppers, eggplants, tomatoes, summer and winter squashes, herbs and so much more.  Look for Red H Farm and Oyster Creek wild foraged mushrooms joining the market this week.

 

Fruit offerings include mandarins, persimmons, pomegranates, grapes, heritage apples and pears, and YES!  There will be organic STRAWBERRIES from Stony Point!!  Get them while you can.  Plus Twin Peaks will be returning to the market with their amazing organic fruits.

 

Don’t forget other local sustainably produced items including nuts, eggs, meats, olive oil, wine, bread, pastries, pasta, apple cider vinegar, tomato sauces and more.  Hector will be bringing his sustainably raised beef.

 

Edgeworks will be back at the market this Sunday for all of your kitchen and garden tool sharpening needs.  Also, look for Earth Temple gemstones for the next two Sundays in their usual spot.

November 17th – Lithium Jazz will be playing at the market.

CalFresh customers Turkey Dinner Raffle winners announced at the end of market.

 

November 24th – Tis the Sunday before Thanksgiving – get everything you need for your Holiday

Feasting.  Don’t have time to cook?  Look for farmer inspired prepared foods.

 

December – join us for our holiday market inside the plaza.
