Ok, by now most of you have noticed that I haven’t been at the market…

Sebastopol Farmers’ Market Newsletter October 13th
Hello everyone and welcome to the Sebastopol Farmers’ Market for the second week for our Eat Local Zero Waste Challenge. How did you all do? We’re hoping that you all are finding that it really isn’t so hard to do, it just takes a little tweaking. We do appreciate your efforts and your conscious decision to do more for your health, your community and the planet.
Together we can do this!! And remember BYOB, bring your own bags and containers please!!
We are truly honored to have the Pomo Dancers back at the market to perform for this full moon Sunday. Also taking the stage, Hopi Calazzo will be playing guitar for this incredibly inspiring event.
The market is overflowing with amazing, beautiful, local vegetables including lettuces, spinach, arugula, tot soi, bok choy, mustard greens, kale, collards, swiss chard, heirloom and cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, colorful cauliflowers, broccoli, summer and winter squashes, carrots, mushrooms, potatoes, onions, shallots, garlic, green beans, beets, fennel, eggplant and so much more!! Want ideas on how to prepare a vegetable you’re not so familiar with? Ask the farmer!!
Fruit offerings include antique pears and apples, figs, black berries and strawberries, melons, grapes and persimmons.
EDGEWORKS will be street-side for all of your garden and kitchen tool sharpening needs and SHOBUI will have their sushi truck next door. For all of you rock lovers, EARTH TEMPLE is back for the next to Sundays. Look for PRINCESS SEAFOOD in their usual spot next to Paul’s Smoked Salmon. AND, for all of you who almost were distraught to find Dominique had taken a Sunday off will be back with her delicious pastries. And ORCHARD FARMS is thankfully back.
