September 29th Newsletter

Hello fellow humans, farmers’ market friends and climate activists.  It was exciting to see record breaking crowds for the Climate Strike rallies over the past 2 weeks with millions of people here and around the world standing up and letting the world know it’s time for action!!  Thank you all for your due diligence in getting the word out!!  The time is Now!  You can fight for the planet here at the Sebastopol Farmers’ Market starting this Sunday. Make it a practice to eat and shop local for your part in a Zero Waste answer to climate change.  Join the Eat Local Zero Waste movement, support local farmers, get healthy, save the planet!!  #BYOB Bring your own bags and containers please.

 

On stage this Sunday, Diego ‘the Whistler’ will be back with beautiful, soulful music for the ultimate bliss moment.

 

Meet your local farmers as you shop for delicious nutritious farm fresh vegetables including lettuces, microgreens, spinach, arugula, totsoi, bok choi, kale, chard, mustard greens, collards, savoy, napa, red and green cabbages, potatoes, carrots, beets, cucumbers, peppers, heirloom and dry farmed tomatoes, fennel, broccoli, cauliflower, eggplant, sweet corn, green beans, summer and winter squashes, basil, cilantro, parsley, herbs for tea and so much more!

 

And for dessert!!  It’s antique apples, pears, figs and grapes just getting started with plenty of berries, melons, peaches, plums and lemons still in season and incredibly delicious!

 

Don’t forget to pick up sustainable locally produced nuts, eggs, olive oil, wines, pasta and breads.

The New Crop of Organic ALMONDS is in!! Ask Heron Fox why this year’s crop is especially delicious!!

EDGEWORKS will be back street-side for all of your garden and kitchen tool sharpening needs!!

October 13th– the Pomo Dancers will take the stage with traditional dances.  Also look for information and craft booths and special guest singer, Hopi Calazzo.

 

October 20th– Be inspired – learn about Zero Waste initiatives and the importance of eating local!!  Recology – 350 Sonoma – Straus Dairy – CAFF/Farmers’ Guild – Community Market – Pacific Bio Char – Master Gardeners – Hidden Forest and many others will be joining the market to share information and ideas for a Zero Waste Sebastopol!!  You are the change – the time is now!

 

October 27th– Dias de los Muertos celebration with Javier Salmon and Cuyuay.

 

Come on everyone dive in..together we can change the world right here right now it all begins at your favorite farmers’ market!!
