September 10th SFM Newsletter

Hello and thank you to all of you amazing and dedicated farmers market patrons who took time out of your busy holiday weekend to brave the ridiculous heat to be a part of our annual Heirloom Tomato Festival. It was a terrific taste sensation with samples of market heirloom tomatoes and tastes of Michele Anna Jordan’s beautiful and incredibly delicious heirloom gazpachos!   A BIG THANK YOU! To Michele and Patti, the wonderful heirloom tomato volunteers and Dennis, the market nuts and bolts guy, for their efforts. In the heat of the day, without a complaint, they were there to share with you the especially tasty bounty of the market.

Just a note.. this Sunday marks the last chance for peaches and maybe even the gravensteins.. get them while you can .. and be prepared for amazing apple, pear and melon heirloom varietals in the market. YUM! If you missed last week.. Bella Ridge is back with an assortment of antique apple and pears. And, Pure Puer tea is back..

Coming up in October.. mark your calendars for our multi-cultural event celebrating the local harvest and Dias de los Muertos on Sunday, October 29th. More details to come…

This weekend, welcome to the stage, David Hamilton playing folk/Americana for a chill market vibe.

See you this Sunday!
